JoAnne Drake of Willamette Woman Inspired by Julie Starr Hook

Julie Starr Hook’s “From Frazzled to Freedom” inspired me to put the book down and go deal with my junk drawer. I bemoan the fact that I’m not as organized as I want to be, but I had never seen the root cause for this. Starr Hook deals with all the excuses and reasons in a very compassionate fashion, then becomes your cheerleader when you decide to get your home in order. She advocates taking small steps but committing to a regular practice of organizing. It may feel overwhelming to take on “the kitchen,” but it’s easy to take half an hour and organize a drawer. The steps build on each other, and she gives clear directions and sensible advice for every room in the house.
